West Indies were brilliant in the field and held on to sharp catches

West Indies thrashed Bangladesh by 73 runs in the ICC World T20 2014 Group 2 match at Dhaka on Tuesday. Chasing a total of 172, the hosts folded up for 98. This is Bangladesh second consecutive loss after a humiliating defeat to Hong Kong in the first round. Bangladesh had put the Windies into bat thinking of chasing under lights ruling out the dew factor.

It was fielding between the two sides which made a notable difference in the eventual result. Bangladesh were pushed on the backstep inside three overs when their three key batsmen went in quick succession. Tamim Iqbal, having survived a plumb  leg-before appeal against Samuel Badree, he went for an aerial shot over mid-off against the same bowler but found an athletic Dwayne Bravo catching it comfortably.
