Australia Backs to win ICC World T20 2014





Former Australian fast bowler Geoff Lawson has backed the
current team’s recovery to help strengthen their chances of winning the ICC
World Twenty20 beginning in Bangladesh this March.






Lawson marvels at Australia’s “rise from the dead” and their
progress from “pretenders” into “contenders” both in the international and the
domestic arenas.




Lawson said that Australia has a decent chance of winning
the T20 World Cup if pace bowler Mitchell Johnson continues his sizzling form,
captain Michael Clarke keeps on scoring big and the batting order assemble a
score big enough to get Nathan Lyon into the game.

The ICC World T20 2014 will be held in Bangladesh from March 16 to April 6. This is the fifth edition of the T20 World Cup . A total of 16 teams will participate in the tournament. The qualifying phase will have a total of eight teams vying for two spots in the Super 10s. There will be two groups with four teams each for qualifying games in the T20 World Cup. Bangladesh , Afghanistan , Nepal and Hong Kong are in Group A. Ireland, UAE, Zimbabwe and the Netherlands are the teams in Group B. Only one team will qualify into the next round. The qualifying matches finish on March 21. The Super 10s also start on the same day. South Africa, Sri Lanka, England and New Zealand are in Group 1. India, Australia , Pakistan and West Indies are in Group 2. Both the groups will have an additional qualifier to make it an overall Super 10. The semi-finals will be held on April 3 and April 4. Brian Lara dating With Jamey Bowers former Miss Scotland

West Indies cricket legend Brian Lara is reportedly dating former Miss Scotland Jamey Bowers . The batting great was introduced to Bowers, who is 20 years his junior, by former Manchester United and Trinidad and Tobago striker Dwight Yorke. “It’s early days. I didn’t want anyone to know, but Brian’s been declaring his love all over the place,” the Daily Mail quoted Bowers as saying in the Edinburgh News. “He’s charming, romantic and fun. We’ll see what happens.” Lara, 44, is considered one of the greatest batsmen of all time. He holds several cricketing records, including the highest individual score in First-Class cricket, with 501 not out for Warwickshire  against Durham at Edgbaston in 1994. Lara also has the record for the highest individual score in Tests, scoring 400 not out against England at Antigua in 2004.
