ICC, BCCI teams to inspect facilities at JSCA

As Ranchi is eagerly waiting to host its first international Test match, a high-level International Cricket Council (ICC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) team would inspect the facilities at the Jharkand State Cricket Association (JSCA)International Stadium on Wednesday.

“The ICC/BCCI team will visit the JSCA International Stadium at 11am on Wednesday. The inspection is with respect to granting a Test status to Ranchi,” said a JSCA press release.

The JSCA has hosted One Day Internationals (ODI), Champions Trophy and Indian Premier League (IPL) matches successfully.

Several international cricketers, including Australians and England players, had said that they were immensely impressed with the facilities, conditions and the ground.

Ranchi hosted its first ODI between India and England two years ago.
